F.O.B.B.S. - Friends of Barnham Broom School
Who we are
The Friends of Barnham Broom School (FOBBS) are a group of parents and school staff who are passionate about our school and make a valuable contribution to the running of it. We meet every few months to plan activities, we communicate our events via school email and on our Facebook page. We are always looking for more support and help - so if you can spare a little time, please do speak to one of the committee or pop into the school office - we would love to hear from you and welcome you aboard.
What we do
We are always looking for fun ideas to fund raise. We organise events like school discos, Sports Day BBQ, Summer and Christmas Fairs, cake sales and much more.
What we have done recently…
FOBBS has been working tirelessly for several years to raise funds for an outdoor classroom and WE DID IT!!! The school now has a bespoke, beautiful and very functional outdoor classroom for the children to use all year round. We also raised enough money to contribute to purchasing a suite of Surface Go tablet devices for the children across the school to use, we would now like to increase the number of these.
We proudly sponsored the Reading challenge across the school to enable the children to earn different badges for their reading efforts.
We also contribute funds to pay towards transport for school trips across the year, additional resources for the school and curriculum days.
Our next projects...
We would love to be able to enhance the ICT capability across the school by providing additional tablets or other ICT resources and we would be very grateful of your support.
We have just donated funds to help support the set up of The Nest - an additional room for learning support and look forward seeing new resources coming into this facility.
We are working with the school to support the purchase of additional books and reading material to support classroom reading.
With your help we can do even more!!!!
If you use Facebook you can join our closed group to keep you informed on the FOBBS page, just ask an existing group member to add you in.
