The purposes of SIAMS inspection are:
· To provide an evaluation of the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the church school for the governing body, the school, the parents, the diocese/district, the National Society or Methodist Church and the wider public
· To meet the requirements of Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 for schools which have a religious character
· To verify the outcome of the school’s self-evaluation
· To make a significant contribution to improvement in Church schools.
SIAMS inspections focus on the effect that the Christian character of the church school has on the learner.
The Inspector Mr Stephen Green was with us for just one day and was tasked with investigating and evaluating the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a Church school. Here are some of his findings:
“The school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners.”
“The school is very effective at translating its Christian values into spiritual, moral, social and cultural education. As a result behaviour is excellent and pupils are well behaved.”
“Relationships within the school community are of a very high standard and clearly reflect the school’s Christian ethos”
“Collective worship, the school’s ethos and its Christian values have led to a very high level of spirituality amongst the pupils.”

Welcome to the Spring Term
A warm welcome to the new families who have joined us and a warm welcome back to the children and families returning for another fabulous term of learning at Barnham Broom C of E VA Primary School.
Some of our Key stage 2 children took part in a Cluster schools swimming gala and then went on to represent our school and cluster of schools at a regional swimming gala. The children did fantastically well! A great achievement.
We have also attended a Writing Workshop and received prizes for amazing pieces of writing.
